New Fallout 3 screens leak onto the ‘net

It’s looking oh so promising

Can Fallout 3 be as jaw-droppingly a good an achievement as Oblivion? Actually, stuff that, will it be even better than Bethesda’s fantasy RPG? Well, that’s what we’re obviously hoping.

Fallout 3’s still a fair few months off, but in the meantime new screenshots that have leaked onto the internet have got lots of folks very excited. See for yourself - in particular the last one of the batch that shows the pinpoint-limbs-for-destruction combat system in the game.

“The release date is Fall 2008. Until you see something official from us on when the game will be out, take any date you see from anyone with large grains of salt,” Bethesda’s Pete Hines told us in March about release timings for the sequel.

GTA IV Censored

Rockstar tones it down for a specific part of the world

The Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification has forced Rockstar to produce an edited version of Grand Theft Auto IV in order for it to get an Australian release.

As reported by The Sydney Morning Herald, in order to obtain an MA15+ rating down under, the GTA developers were forced to remove material that was deemed too much for release.

The MA15+ rating is the highest classification certificate available in the country.

A spokesperson for Rockstar confirmed yesterday that the company did produce a special version in order to comply with Australian law, but declined to reveal what had been cut. We’re pretty sure the internet will be all over that once the game is released.

So far, the game has received an 18+ rating in Britain, New Zealand and Germany, and an M for Mature in America.

First Dawn of War II screens released

Screenshots for the highly anticipated sequel to the Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War series have been released and we can’t wait to see more. So far, only the Orkz and Space Marine factions are featured but no matter how hard we look, we can’t seem to spot any new units or signs of fresh features.

What we can say is that the game looks great. Check out the smoke trails from the Assault Space Marines’ jump packs and the sharp shadows cast on the Space Marine squad taking cover behind the wreckage of a tank in the screen below.

But even though we’re excited to see these shiny new screens of Space Marines fighting Orkz, the new images leave many questions unanswered. Will the much asked for Tyranids finally be included as a playable faction? Will the epic siege engines from the tabletop game that stood several stories high be available as an endgame unit?

Be sure to head to the official site for a video teaser.
